What Alfred actually says when it calls
From the moment you tap Call now to the result on your phone, with the transcript from our demo.
People often ask us what the person on the other end hears. Fair question. Here’s the whole thing, start to finish.
Before anything is dialled
You type what you need, choose the place and check the language. The app shows the rate for that number and how long the call can run, up to 10 minutes. You also decide whether your phone number and email may be shared. Nothing is dialled until you tap Call now.
The call itself
Alfred greets the business, says it’s an AI assistant, and asks your question. It sticks to what you asked for. If they want something you didn’t mention, like a deposit or a different date, that comes back to you in the result rather than being agreed on your behalf.
Here’s the call from our demo, in Japanese with an English gloss:
- Alfredこんばんは。AIアシスタントのアルフレッドです。Good evening. This is Alfred, an AI assistant.
- Alfred今夜8時に、2名で予約をお願いできますか?Could I book a table for two at 8 tonight?
- Restaurantはい、今夜8時に2名様ですね。大丈夫です、お待ちしております!Yes, two people at 8 tonight. No problem, we’ll see you then!
While it’s running you can leave the app. You’ll get a notification with the answer, and you can stop the call at any time.
What you get back
The result is written in your language: booked or not, the details, and anything still open. In the demo it reads “Booked: a table for two at 8 pm tonight, under Emma. They’ll keep it until 8:15.”
Underneath you’ll find the conversation line by line, an Add to Calendar button when there’s a time to save, and Call back if you need another go. Summaries and transcripts stay in your account until you delete them. We don’t store the call audio.
